From April 1, 2022, MultiChoice Nigeria shall put into effect its new prices of subscription for DStv and GOtv subscription packages. Although the Nigerian Government is not happy with this move, the new MultiChoice DStv GOtv tariffs seem to have come to stay. Nevertheless, This post serves as the most complete 2022 DStv GOtv subscription rates of packages to rely on. It contains current prices of all packages on DStv and GOtv.Therefore, I shall roll out the DStv GOtv Subscription Prices in 2022, which MultiChoice recently announced. Furthermore, there are some concessions or chances that enables one to still pay the old DStv and GOtv tariffs, even after the April 1 deadline that MultiChoice reviewed DStv GOtv prices.

All DStv Packages – 2022 Subscription Rates

All the packages on DStv namely – Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Confam, Yanga, Padi have increased in subscription prices. Starting April 1 2022, DStv Premium subscription shall cost NGN 21,000. Furthermore, Compact Plus and Compact packages will become NGN 14,250 and NGN 9,000 respectively. The DStv Confam, Yanga and Padi packages will start selling for NGN 5,300, NGN 2,950 and NGN 2,150 respectively too. However, all hope is not lost as there are ways subscribers can still pay the old cheaper rates in future. Therefore, I carefully listed out these old and new subscription prices of DStv packages in the table below. In addition, I also highlighted the concessions MultiChoice gave out to allow dedicated DStv subscribers pay the cheaper old DStv tariffs.

DStv Subscriptions and Channels

However, the new subscription costs did not affect the channels on these DStv packages. DStv Premium channels List remains the same as it were with over 160 channels, including 38 HD Channels. The DStv Compact Plus list of channels remain with over 145 channels including 30 HD channels. Similarly, the DStv Compact Channels are over 130 in number with an impressive 20 HD channels. DStv Confam channels pride with an impressive 105 TV and radio channels and 10 HD channels. Furthermore, the Yanga channels and Padi channels on DStv packages are 85 and 45 in numbers with 7 and 1 HD channels respectively.

GOtv Packages – Current Subscription Prices for 2022

Similarly, MultiChoice also reviewed the prices of GOtv subscription packages higher. Only the GOtv Supa package, the highest among them remained as it were. However, other packages increased considerably, but with no adjustment in number of channels. Let us look at the outcome for GOtv rates.

2022 GOtv Subscription Rates and Channels

The GOtv Max (over 75 channels) shall sell for NGN 4,150 as against the former NGN 3,600. Furthermore, the GOtv Jolli (over 65 channels) now sells at NGN 2,800 as against NGN 2,460 former price. Similarly, GOtv Jinja (over 45 channels), GOtv Lite or Smallie (over 35 channels) shall be subscribed at the rates of NGN 1,900 and NGN 900 as against NGN 1,640 and NGN 800 respectively.
