- Firstly ensure that your computer (laptop or desktop or palmtop) is WiFi enabled.
- Ensure that your mobile device (android or any other OS) has a functional Xender App as well as WiFi.
- Switch on your mobile device and your computer
- On your mobile device, go to the Xender App and open it or call it up
- When opened, go to the LOGIN icon on the top left corner of the App screen and click it.
- Among the options you see, click on MORE.
- An arrow drop down opens to reveal some more options. Click on CONNECT TO PC
- the next page that opens reveals a circular orange colored button and another orange colored tab indicating SCAN. Click on the CIRCULAR ORANGE COLOR BUTTON to begin scanning your surroundings for available computers.
- While your Mobile phone Xender is still scanning, go to your computer’s Network Bar icon and click on it. It reveals the available networks including WiFi, internet Service Providers ISP, Local Area Networks LAN, Dial Up Networks, Airplane Mode switch etc.
- Among the networks available under the WiFi section is the detected Xender from your scanning mobile device. Click on it.
- The status would read CONNECTED to indicate successful linkage with the mobile phone and your computer. However it is not over yet.
At this point, you will surely need the Google Chrome Browser App for your computer.
- Open or call up the Google Chrome Browser App.
- On the Address bar, input the Internet Port IP address; http://192.168.43.1:33455
- Press ENTER on your computer after typing in the IP address above.
- Once the IP detects the mobile phone, the computer screen will open to show your phone’s interface on its screen. At that point, a prompt will appear on your mobile phone screen asking you to press either ACCEPT or CANCEL. click on ACCEPT.
- Upon clicking ACCEPT, the entire phone’s content is displayed on the screen of your computer for onward data transmission as you wish.
- As a first time connection, there would be some directional tutorials which you coul;d click accordingly to close or to learn from. Either way, the interface already on the screen is user friendly that even a newbie can easily browse through or use.
These steps are sure ways to transfer pictures, videos, apps, files, documents, anything between a computer and mobile phone using the Xender application. It is fast, and supports big size files transfers.
