GOtv has once again unveiled new video, audio and radio channels for Ghana viewers. Starting from January, GOtv users in Ghana and some parts of Nigeria would start enjoying some latest TV channels. Currently, MultiChoice offers over 100 channels for viewers within the region of Ghana, with 5 more additional GOtv latest channels. In this article, we shall highlight each of these GOtv latest channels to help users make informed choices during subscription. Certainly, they are only available in selected GOtv packages, which ensures you choose properly before paying for that subscription. Some of these GOtv latest channels are video-based while others are audio. Now let us jump in to dissect these new releases from MultiChoice GOtv pay-TV service. In this article therefore, you will see the GOtv latest channels for Ghana and Nigerian viewers, how to fix challenges that may hinder their reception on your GOtv.,

New GOtv Channels Recently Launched for Ghana Viewers

The newly-released GOtv latest channels are highlighted below. They include;

  • Citi TV on GOtv channel 182
  • Dominion TV on GOtv channel 181
  • 97.3 fm Citi Radio on GOtv channel 195
  • Starr 103.5 fm Radio on GOtv channel 197
  • Kasapa 102.5 fm on GOtv channel 198

Generally, GOtv has added two extra video channels and three new radio or audio channels to its list of TV station grid. If you are considering how you may subscribe to any of these GOtv latest channels, I shall tell you on what GOtv package they are and for how much.

Citi TV - GOtv Latest Channels for Ghana

Citi TV – GOtv Latest Channels

for GOtv users in Ghana and some parts of Nigeria, the newly-launched Citi TV is now available on channel 182. Currently, the video channel is present on all GOtv packages. This means you can receive Citi TV on the following bouquet;

  • GOtv Max
  • Jolli
  • Plus
  • Jinja
  • Value
  • Lite

However, I shall not reveal what programs feature on Citi TV but it is certainly mind-blowing. If you are in Ghana, just pay for GOtv subscription and thank me later.

Dominion TV on GOtv Channel 181

Do you enjoy live christian church TV broadcasts, Dominion City has finally launched on GOtv. Channel 181 is the official TV channel of the popular Dominion City church,where all live church activities broadcast 24/7. You can now follow live church programs from the comfort of your home by simply subscribing to GOtv Value, Plus and GOtv Max packages. Remember, this channel is only available to Ghana or some users who purchased and activated their decoders in Ghana.

Dominion TV - GOtv Latest Channels for Ghana

Citi Radio 97.3 FM on GOtv Channel 195

This GOtv latest radio channel is exactly what radio should be. It features the best of on-air radio personalities from Ghana and the best of news and jamz. Expectedly, it is the sister-channel to Citi TV, which also launched recently as one of the newest channels. However, the Citi Radio 97.3 fm is available on all packages on GOtv Ghana. Therefore, you can enjoy it when you subscribe to any of the packages on the MultiChoice terrestrial pay-TV service.

Starr 103.5 FM and Kasapa 102.5 FM on GOtv Latest Channels

These are two other audio channels added on GOtv to give you the best of radio entertainment in Ghana. Similarly, they are available on all the packages of GOtv just like their Citi Radio counterpart. There is no special thing to do to access these radio channels on GOtv. In fact, radio or audio channels use lesser signals to broadcast than TV or video channels. By just tuning to their channel numbers on GOtv, you will see the channel logo, while listening to the audio output. The first time I ever listened to a radio channel on GOtv, I found it irresistible.

Technical Issues that might Hinder you Receiving these GOtv Latest Channels

Let me however, remind you that very poor signal could make even the radio channels mute or disappear. Some causes of poor GOtv signals are broken or damaged antenna, low height of antenna or wrong wire connections. Additionally, regular GOtv decoder software upgrade helps to ensure your channels are up-to-date. As a matter of fact, these new channels on GOtv might not just appear on your decoder unless you do a software upgrade. However, they will appear on your channel grid if your decoder is already using the latest software version.

Therefore, if you can not see the new GOtv channels and you are subscribed to the right packages, then try a GOtv decoder channel upgrade or do the following;

  • press MENU, go to Information Central to confirm signal strength and quality
  • open it and see if signal strength is up to 70%
  • If yes, then press EXIT to return to MENU
  • Scroll to ADVANCED OPTION and press OK to open it
  • Go to TV INSTALLATION and press OK
  • Go to DECODER RESET and press OK

At this point, your GOtv decoder initiates a reset after which it reboots automatically. Allow it to complete the resultant channel scan, which now includes the newly-launched channels I enumerated above. Please remember that these new channels are only available for GOtv Ghana viewers or those who bought and activated their decoder from Ghana.
