WHAT IS AV WIRE? HOW AV WIRES ARE USED IN TV CONNECTIONS

Audio / Visual wires popularly known as AV wires are perhaps the most commonly used cable cord in TV entertainment connections at home. Aside the RF / Coaxial Cables, the AV wires are integrally applied in the connection of DStv decoders and all other decoders, DVD players, TVs, home theaters etc to one another in order to maximize your TV entertainment and sound production.
AV wires are usually three single smart cords, jointly held together in a parallel form and in three colours – Yellow, white and red. These different colors of the AV wire have specific functions for specific kind of connections involving all electronic devices like TVs, decoders and DVD players.
AV wires are technologically engineered to transmit picture / video and sound images in a standard definition format SD. They are flexible in use with terminal ports that fit into virtually all AV ports of all electronic devices such as smart TVs etc.

AV WIRE COLORS AND THEIR FUNCTIONS DURING CONNECTIONS

The usual colors as seen on every AV wire and devices using it are programmed to enable you understand how to use it and to ensure right connections. They are the red, yellow and white colors. Here are the meaning of the colors on the AV wire and AV-using devices;

White Color of the AV Wire

The white colour of the AV wire terminal is meant to transmit most effectively the sound for the left speakers. Recall that most electronic devices that produce sounds usually have left and right speakers or outputs. The white colored terminal point of the AV wire, when connected appropriately, helps to boosts the sound of its source input most effectively.

 

HOW AV WIRES ARE USED IN TV CONNECTIONS

The Red Color of the AV Wire

The Red colored terminal of the AV wire is for sound for the left output. As described above, when the red terminal of the AV wire is connected accordingly and in union witrh the white terminal, the sound production of your device is very balanced and of good surround quality.

The Yellow Color of the AV Wire

The yellow colored terminal of the Av wire is most effective for the transmission of the picture, video and general image signals. This yellow colored port always goes into the VIDEO port of any electronic device like TVs during any connection.
