  • On the remote control, press MENU.
  • Browse through until you see MAIL or MESSAGES.
  • Press the OK button to enter until you see the message environment.

At this point, you would also see the message count at the bottom of the screen. it usually appears in this format X/Y, where X is the number of unread messages. Y stands for the total number of messages in the inbox.

To start deleting the messages and consequently the envelop;
  • press the right directional button of the 4 central buttons. Be careful to note that the number of mails keep decreasing on the message count. This happens progressively as the right corner button is pressed. The mail envelop finally disappears as the last mail message is deleted from the DStv decoder.

  8. Can’t get rid of on-screen envelope.
    Bottom right says 1/1.
    Mailbox says “No mail”
    Up and down (select) and left (delete) does nothing. Colour buttons also do nothing.
    Remote functions 100% so is not the remote.
    Any suggestions?

  10. Dear reader, when you are inside the inbox, try using the color buttons instead of the arrow direction or number buttons. The color buttons are the white, yellow, green and blue buttons. Try using each button to delete the messages. The right color button according to your decoder will surely delete the mail messages as you press them.

  11. I tried to delete envelope from tv screen using menu then 4 on remote control, but still it does not disappear. is there anything else to do?
