Dear Olanrewaju, the only way you may have a HDMI decoder when your old decoder is not faulty is by entirely buying it. Swap decoders are only meant for faulty decoders. However, if you perhaps physically damage it in order to have a new one, physical damages do not attract swap decoder exchanges.
God day, I went to their GRA office to swap my GOTV decoder to HDMI enable because my TV set only have HDMI but was turn off that they can’t change for me since it’s not faulty. That only instructed to change the faulty ones.

Dar Moses, sorry for this inconveniences. This has been a popular issue with most GOtv decoders at this time. However, I will advice that you give it more time and continue to try and switch it on for booting. It is expected to clear up on its own after a while. Some GOtv users who had this issue were advised accordingly and theirs got resolved. Thank you.

Yes, you can swap your faulty decoder at any major DStv GOtv outlet near you. You will be charged a swap fee of 1,500 naira for GOtv decoder.
However, some other factors that may cause signal loss are faulty ANTENNA port, bad or expired coaxial wire, faulty F-connector, low height of antenna, etc. Check all these options and see your GOtv signal return to full.
Please my gotv antenna is not picking signal very well anymore and I have tried relocating it to different locations for better signal but all to no avail. Also the AV port on the decoder too is faulty. Can I swap it for another one? Thank you

For a GOtv decoder swop, kindly go with the faulty decoder, evidence of ownership which may include receipt of purchase, last receipt of payment. However, as long as they can see your name on the account and you have an ID card to prove its yo.ur name, they will honor it even if you don’t have the receipt of purchase or last receipt of payment.
Lastly, they will check the decoder to confirm that it is really faulty before they will exchange it with a new one for a lesser token

I know there are some GOtv decoders that don’t distribute to extra TV points. Their RF OUT port does not really push out signals.
However, I advice you try with a quality xtrnsion RF cables, F-connectors and a good auto search on the TVs. If you still don’t get the signals, you may then go for a decoder swop.
