Etisalat Nigeria has finally become 9Mobile. This development materialized yesterday Wednesday amidst mixed feelings among Nigerians. However, the new Chief Executive Officer CEO, Bode Olusanya promises Nigerians better innovative telecommunication technology and other value added services.
The emergence of 9mobile as a replacement for the Etisalat brand in Nigeria followed a pull out of the UAE company Etisalat International from the Nigeria market. According to reports, the UAE telecom giant failed to repay the 1.7 billion dollars loan borrowed by the Etisalat company. Changes that came with 9Mobile Take-over
DTMEDIA.tech foretold a buy-over of the former Etisalat infrastructures sited in Nigeria with its attendant probable loss of jobs, rebranding or remodeling. Surprisingly, the prediction is exactly happening now. As a result, users of Etisalat lines have begun seeing a new 9Mobile brand name and logo appear on their phone screens.
As 9mobile telecom brand is unveiled in Lagos Nigeria, the company promises to right the wrongs of Etisalat Nigeria. They also promises to take the telecommunication and all its value added services to the next level.
9mobile Major Services
Since 9Mobile brand became operational in Nigeria, they have improved tremendiously in the following primary services;
- Voice Call services
- Mobile Data and internet services
- other interactive add-on services
Today, the former Etisalat telecom company prides to be one of Nigeria’s leading telecom company in data services. 9Mobile data bundles are reasonably huge and goes for friendly subscription money. Although internet experience might differ due to location and coverage, they are doing well to a large extent.
However, I may not say they are the best when it comes to talktime cost and quality voice. Most Nigerian telecom operators still suffer from occasional unclear talktime and abrupt call disruptions.
